Blaise Drummond graduated with an MA in Philosophy from the University
of Edinburgh before going on to study painting at the National College
of Art and Design, Dublin and Chelsea College of Art, London. How we
live in the world and the dynamics of this relationship, as manifested
particularly in landscape, architecture, science and art, recurs as
a theme throughout Drummond’s paintings, drawings, sculpture
and installations. He has had solo exhibitions in Dublin, London, Manchester,
Paris, Brussels and Geneva and his work is included in a number of
public and private collections in Ireland and abroad, including those
of the British Council, the Walker Art Gallery, the Irish Museum of
Modern Art and the British Government Collection.
